Lords of the Green
Rivers Run Red
From the gold miners
-The Stag Lord and his cronies have risen from the dead and now stalk the Greebelt.
-Some gnome explorers came by the mining camps a few weeks ago, claiming that they were here to map the entire Greenbelt. They were last seen heading up the Skunk River.
-Tuskwater Lake extends more then a dozen miles south of the Stag Lord’s fort, and feeds into Candlemere Lake beyond that. Rumours say a hag known as the Old Beldame lives on the northwest shore of the Tuskwater. The miners say she consorts with demons and steals children, boiling them for stew in her magic cauldron.
From the gnomes of the Narthropple expedition
-There’s a dryad living west in the depths of the Narlmarches, and a nixie not twelve miles upriver. The gnomes like the Narlmarches – the fey presence pleases them.
-There’s an ancient elven ruin to the southwest – its delicate central tower rises gracefully above the forest. The gnomes saw it from afar, but did not approach; something about the place felt… wrong.
-The gnomes have heard of the Old Beldame as well, but haven’t actually seen the witch. As far as stories of her boiling children – the gnomes aren’t so sure. Where is she finding these children anyway?
